Kristin Fisher joined CNN on the 20th of July, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, starting with NASA as well as the Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of space tourism. Kristin's parents were each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since been an White House reporter for FOX News, covering both the Biden and Trump administrations on space issues. During that time she also covered impeachment proceedings for President Trump and the presdiential 2020 campaign, as well as two administration's efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic. The president of the time Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Before becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin utilized her knowledge behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films. It was also a favourite of corporate clients such as Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
